Who We Are

We run an independent review site about home espresso machines, grinders and accessories. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any espresso machine brand. We earn revenue through the Amazon Associates program: when you click a product link and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Affiliate Disclosure

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

Which links earn a commission: buttons and links that say “Check price” or point to Amazon go through a short link on our site (it starts with /goto/) and carry our Associates tag.
What it costs you: nothing. The price on Amazon is the same whether or not you use our link.
What it does not change: no brand pays for a place on our lists, and commissions do not decide our ratings or picks.
Prices: we do not show live prices. Prices and availability on Amazon change often, so always check the listing before you buy.

Privacy

What We Collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email, or phone number through normal browsing. Here is what does happen:

Activity data: we record how our machine finder and our links are used: your finder answers, your match and runner-up, whether you revealed it, and the links you click on our site (including “Check price” links to Amazon, review links and share buttons). We also record your country, which our hosting provider supplies. We store this in our own database on Cloudflare (D1) and use it to improve our recommendations.
Google Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to measure page views and actions such as finder steps, form submissions and “Check price” clicks. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (_ga and _ga_*) and processes your IP address to estimate your general location. We never send your name, email or ZIP code to Google Analytics. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on from Google.
Cookies: we set one first-party cookie, ema_vid. It holds a random ID that lasts one year and links your finder runs and clicks to each other. On its own it does not identify you; if you submit the machine finder form, we link it to the details you gave. Our hosting provider may also set a strictly necessary security cookie to block bots.
Contact form: if you send us a message, we receive the name, email address and message you type. We use them only to reply to you.
Machine finder: before showing your match, our machine finder asks for your first name, email address and ZIP or postal code. We also receive your answers and your match. If you leave the “Send me occasional deals” box ticked, we may email you deals and new reviews. We use your ZIP or postal code only to tailor offers to your region. We do not sell your details.

Third-Party Services

Amazon Associates: product links on this site use affiliate tracking. When you click through to Amazon, Amazon’s privacy policy governs how it handles your data, including its own cookies.
Cloudflare: our site is served through Cloudflare, which may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) for security and performance purposes.
Google Fonts: our fonts load from Google, which receives your IP address when the page requests them.
Web3Forms: our contact form and machine finder are delivered by Web3Forms, which passes what you submit to our inbox.

Your Choices

Cookies: most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may affect site functionality.
Emails from us: you can unsubscribe from our emails at any time by replying “unsubscribe” or by using our contact page.
Your details: ask us and we will delete the details you sent through the contact form or the machine finder, together with the finder runs and clicks linked to them.
